Actor Stephen Dorff has admitted that he hopes to star in a spin-off to the 1999 vampire flick Blade. Dorff played vampire villain Deacon Frost in the Marvel superhero movie revealed that he and director Stephen Norrington have been talking about the possibilities of Deacon Frost getting his own movie…

“Me and Steve Norrington had a cool treatment for that, and when vampires got all this trending again, we thought we should do the adult version, more of like a Scarface Deacon Frost movie. Blade was such a ‘90s thing. I didn’t want to do a Blade movie, I just really wanted to take Deacon and then do a whole other thing which was much more today.”

Even though Hollywood is vampire crazy at the moment I just cannot see a Deacon Frost spinoff movie getting made. Despite how cool he was in the first Blade movie I just don’t think enough people remember his character, well, not enough to warrant studio bosses green-lighting a movie for him.
