Pop diva Kylie Minogue has revealed that one day she plans to re-launch her acting career. Kylie first came to the public’s attention in the Aussie soap Neighbours but then she quit acting to become a pop singer.

Kylie has sporadically dabbled with acting since then with appearances in Doctor Who and the awful Street Fighter movie from the 90’s.

In an interview with Kate Thornton for Radio 2, Kylie admitted that she would like to make a musical and doesn’t understand why she hasn’t made one already…

“I don’t know why I haven’t done it yet. Musicals are, it’s no surprise, right up my alley and I would be in seventh heaven doing a musical. It’s going to happen somehow but I need to be a bit more pro-active.”

You know what, I’ve always wondered why Kylie Minogue just stopped acting, the Street Fighter debacle aside she always showed loads of promise.

On the subject of Street Fighter the Movie, Jean Claude Van Damme as Guile? Seriously! Still, after all these years that messes my geek brain up.

But, um, yeah, go for it Kylie. These days I think I would prefer seeing you act rather than cavort on stage while you mime.
