X-Factor judge and Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole was apparently reduced to tears after getting a Christmas card from her ex-husband, the English International footballer Ashley Cole.

According to a source who was talking to The Sun…

“Cheryl felt quite choked up at being sent the card. After all that has happened between them, she thought it was a nice gesture. It has been a difficult year and as anyone who has been in love knows, the holidays can bring on a lot of emotion and nostalgia.”

I wonder if Ashley sent Cheryl a Christmas Card with a picture of his private bits? That would be pretty funny, kind of a “look at what you’re missing type of gesture”

Only joking though, I feel sorry for Cheryl and anybody who is having to deal with a break-up or bereavement at this time of year.
