According to Hollywood Life, Sonny With A Chance star Demi Lovato is up for an undisclosed role in the upcoming Avengers movie despite currently being in rehab after an incident with dancer Alex Welch on the Jonas Brothers World Tour left her needing treatment for both physical and emotional issues.

Hollywood Life stopped short of naming the character Lovato was in the running for.

However, Lovato’s representatives have been quick to deny their client’s involvement in the Marvel superhero movie and claimed that rumours to the contrary are “nothing”.

At this moment in time it is thought that Marvel are looking to lock in a big female name for the Avengers as the only notable actress lined up for the movie is Scarlett Johansson who will be reprising her role as The Black Widow from Iron Man 2.

The Avengers will be directed by Joss Whedon and will star Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo and Chris Hemsworth.
