Katherine Jenkins Was Impressed With Matt Smith’s Singing On Set Of Doctor Who
Welsh singer Katherine Jenkins, who starred in this years’ Doctor Who Christmas Special has revealed that Matt Smith, who plays the iconic Doctor, would entertain her in-between takes by singing to her. Talking to PA, Jenkins revealed…
“I had a really good laugh with Matt between takes. He kept mucking around and singing to me but, you know, people should hear him – I think he’s got a great bass voice.”
She then added that she was really happy to have starred in Doctor Who and admitted that she received the news that she had won the role on her 30th birthday and it made for the perfect birthday present…
“I’d been asked to do things in the past and hadn’t done them, but when I got the call to do Doctor Who, it really excited me. I wasn’t sure I could do it but after reading for the part, I got a call on my 30th birthday to say I’d got it.”
