Mobile Phone Users Are Paying Through The Nose

According to Which? Millions of mobile phone users don’t know how much their monthly limits are for phone calls, texts or data usage.

The consumer watchdog believes that roughly ten million users end up paying extra for services that if they had shopped around and were aware of their bundle limits, they wouldn’t have needed to have been charged for their overspill.

Tom McLennan of Which? Mobile believes that you could be overpaying by hundreds of pounds a year just by simply not knowing the limits of your bundle…

“You could be spending hundreds of pounds more than you need to on your mobile every year if you’re not on the right tariff. If you regularly spend more than your line rental, check your bill to see where you’re incurring the extra charges as you may be able to save money by moving to a tariff with more minutes, texts or data. If you never go over your agreed line rental, it’s because you’re not using up your allowance so you may be able to save money by finding a cheaper tariff that reflects your usage.”
