Marky Mark Yet To Sign Up For Uncharted Role

According to Uncharted 3 video game director Justin Richmond, who was talking to Joystiq.com, Hollywood actor Mark Wahlberg has not signed up for the Uncharted movie adaptation despite rumours to the contrary.

Last month Wahlberg was all over the web gushing about the project and even suggested that the Uncharted movie may have rolls for Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci and in an interview with MTV, claimed that director David O. Russell , who he has just finished making The Fighter with, had some amazing ideas for the Uncharted movie…

“David is one of the best writer/directors I’ve ever worked with. The idea that he has is just insane,”

It seems that nothing has been finalised yet with regards to Mark Wahlberg taking on the role of Uncharted protagonist Nathan Drake.

<<<THOUGHTS>>>

Hopefully the studio will have seen the geek outrage at the Marky Mark casting and have decided not to offer him the role after all. Whoever thinks Marky Mark would make a good Nathan Drake obviously has never played either of the Uncharted games.
