Rumours have begun to surface that Marvel are working on a video game based on the cult Secret Wars comic book storyline which debuted back in 1984 in the form of a 12-issue crossover story which saw numerous superheroes and super villains transported to an alien planet where they had to fight for the amusement of a powerful being called The Beyonder.

At this moment in time, it is thought that the Secret Wars game will be the third entry in the Marvel Ultimate Alliance video game franchise.

Marvel are yet to comment on the rumours but expect that to change either way pretty soon.

The Secret Wars storyline as the basis for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 makes sense and would be a definite improvement on Ultimate Alliance 2 where they used the Civil War story arc.

Hopefully if it is going to be used for MUA3 then I hope it’s integrated better into the gameplay that the previous two MUA games.
