Harry Potter Star Ron Weasley Wants Edgier Movie Roles
Harry Potter star Rupert Grint, who played Harry Potter’s best friend Ron Weasley in the blockbusting wizarding movie franchise has revealed to the UK tabloid The Daily Star that he would like to play grittier roles as he looks to further his acting career.
In the interview; Grint revealed that he wants to shake off the Ron Weasley role by appearing in edgier movies which showcase his darker side though he was quick to add that he is grateful for the Harry Potter movies…
“Being in Harry Potter was obviously amazing, but I want to move away from the whole Ron Weasley thing now. I really want to play a baddie in a Batman film.”
Grint’s first movie role post Harry Potter is expected to be the Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards biopic in which Grint is attached to play the Olympic Ski-Jumper.
He is also rumoured to be attached to Cross Country which will see Grint and co. go camping in the woods in Paul and Timothy Fielding’s horror.
