According to the Playstation Blog, Insomniac Games are releasing a second spin-off novel based on the Resistance FPS franchise.

Called Resistance: A Hole in the Sky, the novel will pick up immediately after the events of Resistance 2 and follow protagonist Joseph Capelli, who is the star of the upcoming video game Resistance 3.

Resistance: A Hole in the Sky has been written by William C. Dietz who has written some other video game based novels; Hitman: Enemy Within, Halo: The Flood, StarCraft 2: Heaven’s Devils as well as the previous Resistance novel; Resistance: The Gathering Storm.

Resistance 3 will be released exclusively for the Playstation 3 on September 6th.

At this moment in time, Insomniac Games have yet to reveal when Resistance: A Hole in the Sky will land on the shelves of your local bookstore but the smart money has to be on a Spring release in order to maximise on the Resistance 3 pre-launch hype.
