Welsh TV presenter Steve Jones seems to think that he is one of the front-runners to present the upcoming US version of X-Factor.

In an interview with The Sun, Jones, the former T4 presenter revealed that his name is firmly in the hat for the job…

“I’m hearing good things. I don’t want to jinx anything by thinking I’ve got it. One day I hear it’s going my way, one day I’m less sure. I’d love to do it, I really would.”

The Sun added that Steve Jones has more of a chance of landing the coveted presenting gig than UK X-Factor host Dermot O’Leary simply because he is considered “better looking” than the Irishman.

O’Leary himself has also applied to present the show and revealed recently that he has done everything he can and that the process now is out of his realm of influence as he just has to wait and see who the X-Factor execs decide to go with…
