According to the movie website Vulture, Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese are looking to team up again for the fifth time to make The Wolf of Wall Street.
The Wolf of Wall Street will be based on Jordan Belfort’s memoirs. Belfort was famously jailed for 22 months for stock market manipulation. He was the inspiration for the Vin Diesel flick; Boiler Room.
The script for the Wolf of Wall Street has already been written with Boardwalk Empire creator Terence Winter doing the honours. The script shows how Belfort made his money by creating a boiler room which earned him millions which then used to fund his legendary extravagant lifestyle until he was collared by the FBI and sent to jail.
It is expected that if Scorsese and DiCaprio both agree to work on the project, production could begin as early as next year, after Scorsese has finished work on his Benicio Del Toro-led movie; Silence.
Below are the four movies DiCaprio and Scorsese have made together…
- Gangs Of New York
- The Aviator
- The Departed
- Shutter Island
