Both Russell Kane and Katie Price have made it through to the finals of this year’s Comic Relief; Let’s Dance competition.
The BBC Radio 2, Out For Lunch host Kane received the most public votes for his performance of ‘Crazy in Love’, Beyonce’s song, and declared that the ‘honour’ of making it through to the finals was “more of a punishment, really.”
While Katie Price squeezed through after judges Frank Skinner and TV host Graham Norton picked her ahead of Waterloo Road’s Rebecca Ryan and Philip Martin-Brown.
On her performance of the Queen classic ‘I want to break free’ which was obviously meant as a thinly-veiled message to her estranged hubby Alex, Frank Skinner said…
“I thought Katie was marvellous, so it’s got to be her.”
While Katie Price was getting the plaudits for her song, design double act Colin and Justin’s version of ‘Xanadau’ failed to excite the viewing public as did Rebecca Front and Ed Byrne who performed to ‘It’s Oh So Quiet’ and ‘We Love To Boogie’ respectively.
The Let’s Dance For Comic Relief final will be held on March 12th.
