Charlie Sheen Up For New Major League Movie

Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen has revealed that he would like to make another Major League movie.

To date there have been three Major League movies but Sheen only starred in the first two. The third, which is generally considered the worst of the bunch, was to this writers knowledge, a straight-to-video effort and starred Quantum Leap’s Scott Bakula in the lead role.

The original Major League was released way back in 1989 and took about 50 million dollars at the US box office. In it, Charlie Sheen played Ricky ‘Wild Thing’ Vaughn, a baseball pitcher with attitude problems who gets the chance to play ball in the majors.

The sequel was released five years later in ’94 and took only 30 million dollars domestically.

Anyway, enough background…

According to TMZ, Charlie Sheen would be up for a new Major League movie and despite the existence of Major League 3, as far as he would be concerned, he would consider that a new Major League movie starring him would be the true Major League 3 as he thinks ML3 was “an abortion.”
