Hollywood superstar Johnny Depp has revealed that Marvel superhero Namor the Sub-Mariner was one of his favourite superheroes when he was growing up.

In an interview with Hero Complex, Depp also revealed that he didn’t like Captain America but was fond of Spider-Man and The Fantastic Four…

“Namor is great. There was this strange double edge to the guy. And there was also something about living underwater that I liked a lot.

But I liked Spider-Man and I liked the Fantastic Four for a bit. I really liked Sgt. Rock. But the Sub-Mariner, he was the alternative one. The alt-superhero. He was the sort of Bohemian comic book. I like that.”

Does this mean that Johnny Depp is angling for a Sub-Mariner movie where he gets to play the lead role?
