BBC Worldwide have announced that they are developing a free-to-play Doctor Who game for release later in the year.

Called Doctor Who: Worlds in Time, the game will allow players to take control of everybody’s favourite Time Lord as he explores new worlds and interacts with aliens.

World in Time will focus on co-operative multi-player.

Here’s what Robert Nashak, BBC Online’s EV of digital entertainment has to say about it all…

“Doctor Who: Worlds in Time will be a free-to-play multiplayer online game that invites players to save the universe by using their wits to solve time-bending puzzles and pulse-pounding challenges,”

Doctor Who: Worlds in Time will be developed by Three Rings. Three Rings CEO Daniel James said…

“Three Rings is delighted and honored to have the opportunity to create an online game based on Doctor Who.

Our goal with Worlds in Time is to capture the imaginative spirit and depth of the series, whilst being fun and easy to play for all ages.”
