Inferior Video Games Should Be Priced Accordingly
All new releases cost the same $59.99 in the U.S. for games on platforms like PS3, Xbox and PC. It is a rare occasion that games sell at a reduced rate at release. Because there is a significant difference in game quality, content and resolution, games should be priced accordingly which would pick up the standards of game creators or suffer the consequences of less money. There is no excuse for game manufacturers to be making games with poor resolution when others are putting out games in 1080. Poor art work and design can only be the blame at this point and poor resolution covers up the poorly developed games. We are paying good money for systems and televisions with 1080 resolution capability, yet game makers continue to release inferior games for the same price as the well made games.

If they don’t want to give us quality games then we should wait on purchase and buy the games after six months to a year after release. I am not going to be game specific, but regardless of the platform that you utilize to play video games, all are very capable of running the best video games on the market with ease, not to mention the television sets on the market and in our homes today. Price was once an issue but that can not be claimed today. There is no excuse for poor resolution games at all, and if game manufacturers want to put their garbage out there, then they should be willing to do so at a reduced cost to the consumer.
Even on trade in, the price you get for the inferior games after you are done with them is much less then well made games. People read the ridiculous reviews out there by game fan sites that get all of the games for free so they have something to write about and the public does not get a fair summary of what they are buying prior to purchase. I have gotten to the point that I will not even buy a new release if a decent demo has not been released prior to the game hitting game stores.
Glitches in games that persist for months before being corrected or go uncorrected altogether is also wrong. Most gaming forums are full of complaints on not being able to complete missions because of glitches, yet the game makers fail to come up with a fix for months. In a lot of cases the fix comes much later when you have traded the game in for a new release and could not platinum the game. Hold on to a game too long and get nothing for the trade in. Nothing will change if the consumers keep paying the same price for poorly done games as they do for the good ones.
Tell me what you think about this and if you’re tired as I am for poor workmanship for high prices.

Developers and software programmers do not set out to make inferior or uninteresting games. Oftentimes they either lack financing or access to technology required to make their game better at release. regardless, most games end up in someone’s budget being blown.
When a game comes out, it is going to have a price set at about $50-$60 for a PC game. And within a month of release the price may drop as much as 50%. Regardless of how good a game is, within a year it will be selling for under $30. downloadable from some discount software site.
If you don’t like paying premium money for second rate games, wait for the price to drop as it inevitably will.
You can find lists of the top 100 games of all times, and surely you can find a dozen or so of them you would like to play – all at a price you can afford. So if you just wait a year, you can buy all of the games from the prior year at rock bottom prices… as low as $3. each for some good titles.
And btw not all new games are overpriced. Monkey Island 2 has been remade and is dirt cheap. As are all the new Kings Quest chapters that have been released for FREE.
My advice is simply to wait, and don’t buy retail.
