Mass Effect 2 Review For PS3

Better late than never. I finally played the demo and then downloaded the game from the PlayStation Store yesterday and I have been having quite a good time so far with the game. The downside to down loading and not purchasing the disc is you cannot trade in the game when you complete the game, but it sure saves the laser from taking a dump.

The upside so far has been good game play and lots of enemies to kill. I also like the regenerating health system which is new to the series. Xbox and PC got this game over a year ago, and Sony released it on the 18th of January. Overall improvements in the game are good and BioWare made major improvements in the graphics. There appears to be a lot of downloadable content for the game, and I will have to take a look at that later. I will let you know what that is all about at a later time.

There appears to be more weapon types in the game than before and I will keep you updated as I find out how many. Overall the flow of the game, communicating with AI all appears to be better than Mass Effect. It upsets me to no end that we had to wait a year to play this game on our PS3, when the game was released to PC and Xbox over a year ago. Thats why I was in no hurry to purchase the game when it finally came out in January.

I believe there are 59 trophy’s in the game for the PS3, and I had better get back to earning some of them.

i downloaded every DLC on PSN, and i love the fact that im ‘up-to-date’ on my DLCs with the PC and 360 versions, not only that another DLC mission is coming out soon called ‘Arrival’ and i CANNOT wait for it, i loved lair of the shadow broker and hope ‘Arrival’ would be on par with the action, story driven/mystery and not the boring stolen memories (i had kasumi keep the data b/c it sounds important to not delete it and probably will benefit the overall conclusion in ME3 in Nov2011….i cant wait)
