Former X-Factor UK judge Sharon Osbourne has revealed, in an interview with the UK tabloid The Mirror that she believes current X-Factor UK judge Cheryl Cole will be a big hit in America.

“Americans won’t understand a bloody word of unadulterated Geordie. But with a little help – and those gorgeous Bambi eyes – she’ll win the audience over. Cheryl will be great.

She needs to know what she can and can’t say, but after that it’ll be plain sailing. And she has Simon’s full backing so she will be just fine, no matter what.”

Though she added that she believes that both Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell will leave the UK version of The X-Factor to work exclusively on the upcoming US version…

“Cheryl and Simon Cowell are the only two confirmed for the US X Factor so far. They won’t be doing the UK show, I’m pretty certain. Simon’s going to decide at the last minute who he wants to complete the panel, but Mariah Carey’s still in the frame.”
