Finally! Michael Bay Admits Transformers 2 Was Crap

Bad Boys director Michael Bay has finally admitted that Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was, like many of us claimed at the time; crap.

In an interview with Empire, Bay blamed the time restrictions he had to deal with in developing the story. He claims he had only three weeks to turn around the script…

“The real fault with [Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen] is that it ran into a mystical world. When I look back at it, that was crap.

It was just terrible to do a movie where you’ve got to have a story in three weeks. It’s a BS way to make a movie, do you know what I’m saying?”

The infamous writers strike is partly to blame for the tight three week schedule but in my opinion, Bay and his crew knew they were going to make a Transformers 2 as soon as the first movie released. Does Bay only really start thinking about a movie when the studio tells him to?

I always thought that people like Bay walked around with movies constantly playing in their heads so that when they appeared on set, it’s just a case of transferring the contents of their brain onto screen. Sure you bring in writers to tighten up the script but the bulk of the movie surely belongs to Bay, doesn’t it?

Blaming a three week turnaround is lame. He just made a bad movie, surely everyone is entitled to have one bad day at the office?
