Gandalf Talks The Hobbit 3D
Lord of the Rings star Sir Ian McKellan has revealed in a blog post on his official website that he has seen fellow The Hobbit star Martin Freeman, who plays Bilbo Baggins in Peter Jackson’s prequel fantasy movies, prepare for the 3D version of the upcoming movie.
Freeman will play the legendary hobbit in both Hobbit prequels and McKellan shared his experiences of watching Freeman improvising the “hobbit gait”…
“Martin improvised a hobbity gait, padding back and forth, testing his big hairy Hobbit feet, pointy ears and little tum. Three Bilbos simultaneously, two performances on screen and the actor beyond: which was the real one?”
Sir Ian McKellan will also be appearing in both Hobbit prequels as he reprises his iconic role of Gandalf.
The Hobbit part one is scheduled to hit cinemas in December 2012 with the sequel, part two, expected a year later.
Cate Blanchett and Andy Serkis will both return for the sequels.
