Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes Review: Modern Genius Makes This Film Rock

Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes surprised me with its realism and new take on the original theme of the 70′s classic films that inspired it. This movie is a must see for everyone. First, lets talk apes. The images and creativity in developing “real looking and acting” apes is just amazing as these “monkeys” look and move with a style that I have yet to see in any movie. The premise of this film is a little different though as in the original series, the “apes” travel back in time and their offspring survive, which causes “apes” to progress to the level of humans in thought and speech. In this new adaptation it is science that creates the “new” apes and causes them to become “equal” to humans. The plot in this film is purely disturbing in ways because we now live in a world where genetic engineering is a reality and it is scary to think of what can happen. Director Rupert Wyatt has put together a masterpiece and stars like James Franco, Freida Pinto, and veteran John Lithgow were nothing less than stellar in their performances. This movie is full of action, dark secrets, and moments that make you want to stand up and cheer. Rise Of the Planet Of The Apes get my vote for best film of the year and is a must see in my book.
