The Change-Up Review: Raunchier Remake Of Three Previous Movies

The Change-Up is a movie you will swear you have seen before. This movie is a more raunchy version of 1987′s “Like Father Like Son”, 1988′s “Vice Versa”, and 2003′s “Freaky Friday”. It does add one new twist as both characters are adults in this film and that is good because it is full of vulgar and foul language. That being said, this movie has its moments and will make you laugh out loud in a lot of places. Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds are very funny in their roles and did a great job here. They play two friends, Mitch and Dave, who are envious of each others’ lives and they get a chance to see how the other lives. It’s an old story with a new twist and a moral for the viewer, “the grass is not always greener on the other side”. The movie does have a few moments where it is very predictable and you know what will happen next. As far as the language goes, just don’t take your kid as this is truly a film that is for adults. Change-Up will have you rolling in the floor and laughing out loud. If you go to movies for entertainment then this movie is definitely for you. The Trailer is below courtesy of YouTube:
