HP Still Selling Touchpad Online: As of 5:35am eastern time 8/21/2011
UPDATE: The HP web site is now showing “sold out” on all models of the touchpad as of 430pm.
The HP Touchpad has become an “in demand” item as Hp cut the price to $149.00 for the 32 Gb model. This is a huge savings. Now going straight to HP will get you a “Sold Out” on the Touchpads. If you go to HP Small Business (LINK REMOVED AS SITE IS SOLS OUT) you will see they are still selling the 32GB tablet for $149.00 while they last. the demand must be high as it took us over an hour to get all the way through to the confirmation screen. There were numerous times we had to refresh the page and we had to start all over twice. It must be one frenzy at the HP site for their servers to keep crashing like that. As of 5:35am eastern time on 8/21/2011 they were still in stock at the link above. This is a big bargain as in our review of the HP Touchpad concluded that is was a nice little device for web surfing. At $149.00 it is a steal.
UPDATE 6:23am: some readers are saying the site is broken. You have to keep refreshing the pages when they hang up and eventually you will get to the confirmation screen. Like we said before, it is a hassle but it is worth it for this price.
