The Glee Project finale tonight was supposed to decide which of the four remaining contestants would get a “dream” gig by being in seven episodes of the next season. We had seen it go down to the final four Lindsay, Damian, Samuel, and Alex and the tension was high for these talented young stars. Now each of the final four got to perform their own video tonight and all were great. Ryan Murphy took a more predominant role tonight as he is usually in the background. Once we had seen all the performances, he gave a critique of each contestant. Lindsay was credited as the performer who had “grown” the most during the competition. Ryan told Damian he was the perfect “boy next door” and was exactly what Glee was looking for. Samuel was also given praise for his “boy next door”persona and also told he would bring great diversity to Glee. Alex was told he always stayed true to his roots evening the face of overwhelming odds. Now after all these accolades, Ryan announced that it was Samuel who had won “The Glee Project”. As the crowd was cheering and tears were flowing all over the stage, Ryan made another surprise announcement and said that Damian has also won the competition. Wow! Two new stars for Glee. The surprises were not over yet as it was announced that both Alex and Lindsay would get to be in two episodes each of this season’s Glee. So there you have it, everybody won tonight on the Glee Project.
