Kate Plus 8 is normally a show that interests us very little although we do watch it all the time. Watching a “prima donna” mom try to act all rational and organized while dealing with 8 kids does provide some entertaining moments. Now we have been enjoying the misadventures of the gang as they have been on a RV trip across the midwest. This week, one of Kate’s best friends and baby sitter Ashley walked out on the show and Kate over pizza (see video below). We were laughing so hard as Kate went ballistic because Ashley had given Maddie and Cara some left over pizza. Now Ashley was having to watch the two sisters because Kate had decided that they were to be punished by not going to see the Grand Canyon. Ashley, the trooper and good friend she is, stayed behind and missed seeing it also. When Kate returned and saw that the pizza had been eaten by the girls, she went off on Ashley and that was the breaking point. Ashley promptly asked that she be sent home. The kids took it harder than Kate as Ashley has been more of a mother figure to the kids than Kate has been. Some of the littlest ones were bawling their eyes out. Kate is notorious for being hard to work with. When she was on Dancing With The Stars, her partner Tony Dovolani quit two times but was talked into coming back. Kate is a control freak and thinks she knows it all. This is the last season we will see Kate Plus 8 and one wonders what will happen when she is not in the spotlight anymore.
