Karaoke Battle USA

Karaoke Battle USA rolled into Los Angeles tonight for the first semi final round with the 8 contestants from all over the US. Tonight, two males and two females were chosen to compete next week for the grand prize where one male and one female will be crowned. First up was Sammy Vijarro and he sang “Unchain My heart”. The judges looked like someone needed to “chain” their ear drums as this performance was a big disappointment. Next was Meredith McHenry and she sang “No One”. Something was off on this whole performance as she seemed to be searching for the right tone the entire song. Looks like the West coast contestants were not ready for tonight. The next set of performers represented the South and didn’t do much better. RL Bell came out with a very “over the top” rendition of “Georgia” and he seemed to miss a few notes a crucial moments in the song. Charlotte Hicks was up next with another Janis Joplin song, “Piece of My Heart.” Charlotte put in the worst performance of the night as she wailed her way through this classic. Next up, representing the “North”, was Josh Scholl and Cassandra Mae Jopp. Josh chooses to sing “Drops of Jupiter” and falters through his whole performance. Cassandra thinks she is playing it safe with “Last Name” by Carrie Underwood and the audience loves it. It was really good and the best performance so far but judge Brian Scott tells her it is too much like a “mimic” performance and not enough originality. Finally, representing the “East”, we get to see Creigh Riepe and Shantel Norman. Creigh has a fantastic performance as he sings “Need You Now” but is criticised for his stage presence. Shantel comes out strong with “Simply the Best” but falls flat when she gets her tone too low for this song.
Now it is time for the judges to announce who will continue and Sammy Vijarro and Josh Scholl are the two males advancing. This seems like a mistake because Creigh was far better than these two. The two females going to the finals are Cassandra Mae Jopp and Shantel Norman. Next week, these four finalists will compete for the grand prize of Karaoke King and Queen on the finals of Karaoke Battle USA.

Idk what show you were watching but Josh was flawless and the judges all loved him…he’s in the finals so idk how you can say he faltered. I very much disagree!
