The 2011 Prime Time Emmy Awards are on right now and we are bringing you the results live as they happen. Keep refreshing the page here as we will give you the winners as they are announced. You can also check out the complete list of winners at the bottom of this post. First up was the best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series and the winner is Ty Burrel. The award for best Directing for a Comedy Series goes to Michael Spiller for his work on the hit show “Modern Family”. Modern Family writers Steve Levitan and Jeffrey Richmond win the best Writing for a Comedy Series Award. With Charlie Sheen up on stage providing us with a little “bad” humor, he announces the winner of the best Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. The award goes to Jim Parsons from “The Big Bang Theory”. The best Lead Actress in a Comedy Series goes to Melissa McCarthy for her work in Mike and Molly.

The Outstanding Reality Competition Award goes to “The Amazing Race”. Looks like Big Brother was snubbed. The award for best Writing for a Variety, Music, or Comedy Program goes to “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart”. It’s about a quarter of the way through the second hour of the show and the winner of the Outstanding Directing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Show goes to Don Roy King for his work on Saturday Night Live. The Best Variety, Music, or Comedy Series goes to “The Daily Show” again. They should just rename this the “Daily Show Award” since they have won it like 8 years straight now.

Since we are waiting on a commercial break, I will take this moment to say that Jane Lynch has scored some big points with me as she has done a great job hosing this year’s show.

Ok, the Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series award goes to Jason Katims for “Friday Night Lights.” Next is the award for best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series and the winner is Margo Martindale on the hit show “Justified”. The best Directing for a Drama Series award is won by Martin Scorsese for “Boardwalk Empire.”

It’s 9:45 now and we get the award for best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. The winner is Peter Dinklage from “Game of Thrones.” Julianne Margulies wins the best “Lead Actress in a Drama Series” for her work on “The Good Wife.” The best Lead Actor in a Drama Series Emmy goes to Kyle Chandler for “Friday Night Lights.” The winner for best Writing for a Miniseries, Movie, or Dramatic Special is Julian Fellowes for “Downton Abbey.”

We are into the third hour now and “Downton Abbey” actress Maggie Smith wins for best Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or Movie. Barry Pepper wins best Lead Actor in a Miniseries or Movie for “The Kennedys.” The award for best Directing for a Miniseries or Movie goes to Brian Percival for “Downton Abbey.” Next is the best Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or Movie and it is won by Guy Pearce, “Mildred Pierce.” Kate Winslet, looking better than she has in quite a while wins the best Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie for her role in “Mildred Pierce.”

This year’s best Miniseries or Movie is “Downton Abbey.” Mad Men doesn’t walk away empty handed this year as they win for best Drama Series. The best Comedy Series winner is “Modern Family.”
