Chaz Bono and Lacey Schwimmer
Chaz Bono did his best to shut up critics with his “stellar” opening “cha cha” on the season premiere of Dancing With the Stars. No, it wasn’t a perfect dance but a statement to his character. He showed us that he is happy with who he is and many of us could learn a little in that department. Chaz and his partner Lacy Schwimmer performed well together and Bono looked the part of a graceful gentleman. Chaz and Lacy got nothing but praise from the judges as Carrie Ann said, “I think people have been waiting all night to see you Chaz and you did not disappoint. You can dance!” Bruno was next to chime in with “Great, great debut, Chaz. You should be proud!” Finally, the usually grumpy and hard Len said,”You really came out with the right attitude … great footwork and great attitude.” Chaz only got a score of 17 which puts him in the middle of the pack. This score does not represent what Chaz accomplished tonight. Tonight we saw Chaz Bono as a graceful and charming man that is not just a “side show” or a “pawn” that ABC has used to get ratings by stirring up controversy. Chaz showed the world tonight that he is just another guy trying to be as successful as he can in life and living it to the fullest. Great Job Chaz!
