Survivor South Pacific episode 2 gave us new challenges and another contestant was eliminated. The Immunity Idol was found by one team also. The show started with the Upolu Tribe getting a bit of a shake up as Brandon tells Coach that he is Russel Hantz’s nephew. Hantz put a hurting on Coach in a previous Survivor. Coach is now skeptical of Brandon’s motives even though Brandon tell him he is there to “redeem” the family name.The immunity challenge tonight consists of the players unraveling ribbons with keys that are attached to a pole. The keys get the other members “unlocked” from confinement and then they have to move huge puzzle pieces around until they can get the largest piece out. This piece has to be carried by the members to a platform that is the finish line. Upolu has trouble from the beginning and they lose to the Savaii Tribe.
The debate begins about who to send home and Brandon and Coach want different people out. Edna, Sophie, Christine, and Stacie all get votes to be eliminated. Christine and Stacie both receive 3 votes and the tie is broken when the last vote has Christine’s name on it. Christine is sent packing and is the second person eliminated this year. Now she goes to Redemption island and will face off with Semhar, who was voted off last week. Brandon had wanted Mikayla out this week but he showed his loyalty to Coach as no votes were cast for her. Coach might trust him a little now but will keep him at arm’s length.
Now no one in the Upolu Tribe has found the Immunity Idol but we did see that the Savaii Tribe has found their immunity Idol. We got to see Ozzy find the Savaii Immunity Idol tonight and they also got Blankets, Pillows, Matts for a floor and a Hammock for winning the challenge tonight.
