Survivor South Pacific had the first Redemption Island competition tonight where an eliminated contestant gets the chance to return to the game. The Savaii Tribe sent Elyse and Ozzie and the Upolu Tribe sent Coach and Stacey to witness the duel between Semhar and Christine. The duel consisted of and idol placed on top of pole sections. Each contestant had to add sections to the pole and raise the idol in the air. First pole to fall over loses. The duel was close but Semhar loses her idol after the third section so she is eliminated. Christine remains in the game on Redemption Island.
Brandon tells the Tribe he is a Hantz family member. This will only add to the dismay in the Upolu Tribe as he has been in the background manipulating the game. Now the other Tribe members know he could be untrustworthy. Will this give the Savaii Tribe an edge in the game? We think so as this revelation, along with the victory of Christine on Redemption Island, will mean there is a lot of turmoil in Upolu Tribe. The one thing that is still in their advantage is that they have the immunity idol and the Savaii Tribe has yet to find theirs.
Now the immunity challenge tonight had the contestants bringing baskets with banners inside from across the lagoon where they are hoisted onto a tower. Once all the baskets are on the tower the Tribes have to arrange the banners. First one to create their banner wins immunity for the Tribe plus coffee, sugar, and cookies. This was a blowout as Coach and the Upolu Tribe get finished before the Savaii Tribe even gets all their baskets to the top of the tower. Papa Bear and Cochran are up to be sent to Redemption Island and the votes send Papa Bear to join Christine.
