Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE Review: Blazing Fast Speed Long Battery Life
The Samsung Galaxy Tab LTE from Verizon Wireless delivers blazing fast speed from the company’s 4G network but still can’t compete with the iPad on apps. You get the feeling you are listening to a broken record if you sort through all the different tablet reviews out there because “lack of apps” is the biggest negative factor of any “non” Apple Tablet. The Galaxy Tab LTE is not different, it has blazing fast speed, long battery life, and a nice feel and functionality. We were recently loaned the new LTE version from Verizon and we loved the fast 4G connectivity. Minor design changes make this tablet sleeker and more functional. Even with all the speed…
Lion King 3D: Is It Worth The Price Of Admission?
The Lion King is back! No not a sequel, but the original film has been made over into a 3D epic to try to charm fans at the box office once again. Now this is not a review of the film but it is a review of the quality of conversion to 3D. Unless you have been living on a remote island with no TV or Internet for the last 7 years or so, you know what this movie is and already have a firm opinion of it. We love “The Lion King” and in our minds, it is one of the greatest animated stories of all time. With that said, we were a little…
William Shatner Hosts “The Captains” DVD Featuring Captains Of The Enterprise
With the 45th Anniversary of Star Trek approaching fast, Entertainment One is getting in on the celebration by releasing a documentary called “The Captains” on DVD. William Shatner, Captain James T. Kirk, wrote and directed this documentary. Shatner tries to find an answer as to why his role as Captain Kirk is the one thing he is most recognized for even though he has so many other seemingly larger credits under his belt. The DVD promises vintage footage and up close and personal interviews with several “Captains” of the USS enterprise. Patrick Stewart, from Star Trek Generations, Kate Mulgrew, from Star Trek Voyager and Nemesis, Avery Brooks, from Star Trek Deep Space Nine, Scott Bakula,…
Star Wars Clone Wars Season 4 Premiere Raises The Bar Once Again
The Star Wars series “The Clone Wars” gave us another exciting premiere with the 4th season opening of the “back to back” episodes “Water War” and “Gungan Attack”. Each new season of this series has opened with an “epic” battle and this year was no exception with the graphic opening salvo taking place under water. Nerdles got responses from fans that watched the premiere and if they are a gauge of the show’s success this year, Star Wars Clone Wars Season 4 will be a hit for the Cartoon Network. The focus on the Gungans was talked about by Jeremy from South Dakota when he stated, “I was never really interested in the Gungans but…
Karaoke Battle USA Final Results: King and Queen Crowned Tonight
Karaoke Battle USA had the final competition tonight where one “Karaoke King” and one “Karaoke Queen” was crowned from the final four performers. Tonight, the competition was a little different as both the men and the women had to sing the same song in the first round. This gave the judges an opportunity to evaluate the contestants without the confusion of trying to compare different style songs. First up were the women as Shantel Norman and Cassandra Mae Jopp both sang Gloria Gainer’s “I Will Survive”. Both Shantel and Cassandra did a great job with this song but I think Shantel was slightly better as her version was more unique. The men were up next…
