UFC 136 Results: Main Card Fights Were Fast And Furious
UFC 136 Main Card
UFC 136 proved to be another slam fest tonight and it started off with a bang as the first fight of the night lasted only 45 seconds and ended in a submission. Joe Lauzon vs Melvin Guillard was over almost as soon as it started when Lauzon landed a devastating left that shuddered Guillard. Lauzon took advantage quickly and got Guillard in a choke hold where he tapped out quickly. The second fight of the night, with Nam Phan vs Leonard Garcia, went the distance and was an amazing street brawl that left both fighters exhausted. In the end Nam Phan won by unanimous decision. Chael Sonnen vs Brian Stann was just a Sonnen beat fest as Stann never had a chance. Sonnen dominated the whole first round and gave Stann a beating he will not soon forget. Almost 4 minutes into the second round, Sonnen got a choke hold on Stann and he was forced to tap out. Jose Aldo vs Kenny Florian was for the Featherweight belt and this was another one sided fight that managed to go the distance. Florian managed to pin Aldo on a few occasions but Aldo commanded this bout with his dominating punches. Aldo out classed Florian on all levels and won by a unanimous decision and keeps the Featherweight Title. The main event, Frankie Edgar vs Gray Maynard, brought together two lightweights that have met 2 times before. This was the best fight of the night as Maynard came out swinging and broke Edgar’s nose in the first round making us think this was going to be a short fight. Edgar came back in the second and third rounds and it looked like Maynard had lost the momentum. The fourth round showed Edgar in a “Rocky Like” moment as he came out pounding Maynard in the middle of the ring. It was the all Edgar show as about 4 minutes into the round, he nailed Maynard with a huge uppercut that sends him to the floor. Edgar immediately pounces with a flurry of punches and the Ref steps in a called it a KO for Edgar. Edgar keeps his Lightweight Belt.

Nam Phan vs Leonard Garcia———Nam wins by unanimous decision.
Chael Sonnen vs Brian Stann——–Sonnen wins by submission.
Jose Aldo vs Kenny Florian———Aldo wins by unanimous decision.
Frankie Edgar vs Gray Maynard——Edgar win by KO.

This was a great card and i liked the fights. i get mad when they are all justt quick knockouts and it makes me think I didn’t get my money’s worth. This PPv was definitely worth the price.
