Amazing Race 19

The Amazing Race 19 started off tonight with one team being sidelined and they had to watch the other pass them by due to things beyond their control. The Teams are still racing across Indonesia this week. We will be live blogging Amazing Race 19 tonight so keep checking back for updates as they happen. The first leg is to go to the Dutch Colonial Bicycle Guard to re enact a patrol that was done in the 1940′s.  Once finished they go to Salakmalang Village to a restaurant to get the next clue. Andy and Tommy are the first out of the gate and are off to the second leg of the race. Ernie and Cindy suffer tragedy when his peddle falls off his bike and they are stuck watching the others pass them by. They are very frustrated as all the teams are going by and there is nothing they can do as they are not allowed to continue with the broken bike. The third leg is a detour of either “Rice Fed” or “Grass Fed” where the teams have choice to feed farmers rice or feed sheep grass. If they choose the rice they have to plant rice while the workers eat and if they choose grass they have to provide water to the sheep along with the grass. Once finished they get the clue to head to Borubudor Temple to search for the next clue. Andy and Tommy are fighting to stay in the lead as they get to the Temple and find a “roadblock”. They have to identify the four different “Buddha’s” in the temple and the different hand positions for each one. Once they demonstrate the proper hand positions then they get their next clue. Laurence and Zack and Andy and Tommy are neck and neck here now. Everybody is having trouble in the temple but Lawrence and Zack are the first to get it right and Andy and Tommy are right behind them.

Lawrence and Zack are the first team to the finish but they get a 15 minute penalty because they used too many buckets for the grass fed challenge. Tommy and Andy arrive next and are awarded first place and a trip to Dubai. Lawrence and Zack wait for the penalty to end and they are second. Jusitn and Jennifer and team up with Liz and Marie to solve the roadblock. Jeremy and Sandy are third with Justin and Jennifer fourth. Ernie and Cindy are fifth followed by Amani and Marcus in sixth. Bill and Cathi are seventh after coming back strong. Liz and Marie struggle finding a taxi and make it in eighth place. Kaylani and Lisa are the last team to arrive at the pit stop and are eliminated. Check back next week for another live update on Amazing Race 19 as the action happens.
