DWTS Opening 10/17

Dancing With The Stars is underway and we are live blogging the show so you can keep up with all the action as it happens. Keep refreshing the page for updates and scores as they happen. This week is 80′s week where the stars will be dancing to favorite songs from the era of “excess.” With the elimination of Chynna Phillips last week, fans have expressed their frustration over who is being eliminated. This is a popularity contest as your votes are added to the judges scores each week. This has saved some dancers like Chaz Bono and Nancy Grace. It has also provided a lot of fodder for the online community to voice frustrations when a lesser dancer stays and a better dancer goes home. Ok the show has started and here we go with Hope Solo up first.
Hope Solo dances a Tango to Bon Jovi’s “Living on a Prayer”. Len says she had no form and was too loose. Bruno says she was the perfect 80′s “superb**tch”. Carrie Ann says she attacked it too hard. The votes are tallied and Hope Solo gets a 24. Carson Kressley dances a Jive to Wham’s “Wake Me Up.” He was terrific and Bruno said said he was insane tonight. Carrie Ann said it was fun but there was no technique. Carson gets a 19. Nancy Grace is up next with a Rumba to Spandau Ballet’s “This Much Is True”. Carrie Ann says she needs to show more passion. Len says it was simple but effective with a bit of elegance. Bruno says she was exactly right tonight and not too slutty. He says it was one of her best performances. Nancy gets a 22.
JR Martinez is dancing a Samba to “Conga” by Miami sound Machine. He is smooth here and is doing well in my opinion let’s see what the judges say. Len says it was great. Bruno says he was a “sex machine” and the Kardashians are gagging. Carrie Ann says it was awesome. JR gets a score of 28. Rob Kardashian does a Rumba tonight to Lionel Richie’s “Hello”. He looks a little stiff and forced but it is not a bad dance. Bruno says it is the first time he used Cheryl as his partner. Carrie Ann says he was strong and Sexy. Len says he pulled of the “masculine” part of the dance and worked it well. Rob gets a 25.
Chaz Bono is up next and he is doing a Samba to Cool and the Gang’s “Get Down On It” and he is showing a lot more confidence and moves this week. Carrie Ann says he danced more tonight than any time before. Len says it was good and he showed improvement. Bruno says he was impressed. Chaz gets a score of 21. David Arquette is the next dancer and he is doing a Tango to Soft Cell’s “Tainted Love.” This dance is good and he is getting the technical stuff right here tonight. Len actually says he was great tonight. Bruno says it was like a bad ass*d Billy Idol. Carrie Ann says he needs to work on his musicality and it starts an argument with Len and Bruno. David gets a 25. Ricki Lake is the final dancer tonight and she does a Foxtrot to hit by Phil Collins called “Easy Lover.” Ricki is the one to beat this year as she is just better very week. Bruno says she was off tonight. Carrie Ann says she did the Roger Rabbit badly but they work well as a team. Len says he is a “funketeer” from the 80′s but she was off tonight in her foot work. Ricki gets a score of only 24 this week.
So there are the scores and now it is time to vote. Who do you think will be going home tonight with Carson, Chaz and Nancy in the bottom three again. Check back tomorrow as we will be live blogging the results show of DWTS week 5.
