Elyse Redemption Island Challenge

Survivor South Pacific is underway and we are live blogging the action as it happens. Ozzy has told everyone that he has the immunity idol and that he is now a “free agent.” Brandon has found a clue to where the immunity idol is and Coach is letting him look for it, even though he already found it. Coach is worried that Brandon will go against him if he tells him he already had the idol. We now go to Redemption Island for the elimination competition.
Sophie and Rick along with Ozzie and Keith are at Redemption Island to watch the competition between Elyse and Christine. The competition is Survivor Shuffleboard where each contestant has to knock off all 4 of the pucks with the other’s name on it. Elyse makes the mistake of knocking one of her own pucks off the board but it comes down to one puck race. Christine manages to win again and remains on Redemption Island. She now has her old teammates worried about her coming back in the competition as they know she will be gunning for them.
Back in Savaii Tribe, Ozzie realizes his mistake and talks with Keith about going back to the others and telling them he wants to work with them again. The other members have mixed feelings on this and Cochran sums it up best when he says they need him to win the challenges. They also know it is worthless to try to eliminate him because he has the immunity idol. This just makes the Savaii Tribe less of a team.
The immunity challenge is pretty complicated today. Teams have to assemble a wheel barrow and use it to navigate an obstacle course. They have to pick up 2 loads of coconuts into a troth. Then, after two loads are in the holding area, the rest of the Tribe has to make a sling shot out of the wheel barrow and use it to hit targets with the coconuts. Savaii Tribe stumbles and lets Upolu Tribe start launching coconuts at targets before they even get 2 loads. Savaii catches up and it is 2 to 2. Savaii comes back and wins the challenge. They get a little vacation on a place called “Sliding Rocks” where they get a picnic.

At the sliding rocks, Cochran finally comes out of his shell a little and goes sliding down into the water. Upolu Tribe debates whether to send Edna or Mikayla home. They are divided but seem to want to get rid of Edna because she is so tactful. They think she is very smart and is playing games with them. Coach is determined to keep Edna because he feels she is more of a team player.

We are now at the Tribal Council and there is talk of what happens when the Tribes are merged. Coach is putting it out that they are divided in who to send to Redemption Island. Brandon tells everyone that loyalty is what this is all about. He says that the others should just vote him out now if they are not going to stick to their word. He talks of how he is voting to keep Edna because he gave his word. The votes are in and it is Mikayla being sent to Redemption Island. She will face Christine next week.
