Survivor South Pacific this week marks the 5th time that Christine competes to rule Redemption Island and it is making he former team mates nervous. Christine has ruled the island since she was voted off and no one seems to be able to eliminate her. She even showed her feelings last week as she flipped off her former Tribe members as they viewed the competition. This week she goes up against Mikayla and it could spell trouble for her. The Savaii Tribe came back last week and won the immunity challenge. Can they keep the momentum going and win again this week? The show has started and here we go!
We are on Redemption Island and the challenge is to take apart a wooden crate and use it to build a bridge. They have to take the bridge apart and use the pieces to solve a puzzle. Christine starts off strong but Mikayla catches up quickly. Christine finishes the bridge first and is first to get the bridge apart. Mikayla is first to get the puzzle but she is wrong. Christine finishes and wins the challenge. It was funny because nobody was cheering on Christine but they were giving Mikayla a lot of support. Ozzy and Cochran were there to watch and now Ozzy talks of sending someone to Redemption Island on purpose, to get rid of Christine. She really scares these guys.
Ozzy hatches a plan to send himself to compete against Christine. He says he might give his immunity idol to someone as long as they promise to give it back. This could comeback to bite him. Coach is still playing dumb on having the immunity idol and is letting Brandon and the others continue looking for it.
The immunity challenge is an obstacle course where the tribes have to navigate a course blind folded while the other team members give them directions. They have to get bags hanging on poles and take them back. Cochran has problems and Edna has her troubles. It is neck and neck but Savaii is just behind as the rope is giving them trouble. Upolu get all four bags first but it is neck and neck as they arrange the masks on the table. Upolu wins the challenge and they get to go to the movies and see Jack and Jill.
Savaii Tribe talks of sending Cochran to Redemption Island because they feel he was the reason that they lost the challenge. We will see how the votes go but it looks like Cochran is going away. Christine will kill him as he cannot compete.
Now we are at the Tribal Council and Ozzy volunteers to go to Redemption Island to get rid of Christine. He is going to tell Christine that Cochran had the idol and he has been hiding it and whipped it out when they tried to vote him out. This is not a good idea because the Tribes might not merge this week and then Savaii will be at a disadvantage without Ozzy. Ozzy gives Cochran the idol just before the vote. The votes come down and Ozzy goes to Redemption Island to face Christine. Will this be the smartest play of the season or the dumbest? We will find out next week on Survivor South Pacific.
