The Amazing Race 19 leaves Malawi tonight and heads for Denmark in an episode titled “Super Shady” where we will see another “double U turn” option. Will one team see Denmark and then go home or will this be another non elimination leg. Each time the race has gone to a new country this year, the first leg has always been one where no one was eliminated. Last week, we saw Justin and Jennifer start off by not reading the clue properly and it cost them dearly. They were eliminated when they got to the pit stop last. Andy and Tommy won again and continued their domination of this race by winning their 5th leg out of 7 total legs this season. Even if they stumble badly they have still had an amazing season with lots of prizes. The Show is starting and Andy and Tommy are looking for different flights to get a leg up on the other teams. They go to Copenhagen, Denmark and then they have to get into a car and drive to a tower. Laurence and Zac are first but they have to wait on the tower to open. All the others are there but Marcus and Amani are on a flight the next day. This could be deadly.
The tower opens and they have to get 2 clues that tell them to go to Fredricksborg Slot. This is where they will get their next clue. Zac is at the castle and the roadblock is to do a dance where they have to dress up in a costume to get their clue. Ernie and Cindy take the lead as they are the first to finish the dance and they are heading to Frilandmusald where the get a detour. The detour is to churn butter or race rabbits. Ernie and Cindy are first to finish and head to Karlstrup Windmill where they see the double u turn. They choose to send Bill and Cathi on the double u turn so they will have to go back and set up a rabbit run. Bill and Cathi put up Laurence and Zac for the double u turn also before they head to do the rabbit run.
Now the last clue is for the teams to go to Havet Ship to the pit stop. Ernie and Cindy are the first to arrive and win this leg. They get a free trip to Fiji.
Sandy and Jeremy have finished the dance and are lost. Amani and Marcus are at the detour and decide to make the rabbit run. Laurence and Zac get ticked off when they see that Bill and Cathi have put the double u turn on them. OK, Marcus picks a killer rabbit and it blazes through the course just as Laurence and Zac are returning for the second part of their detour. Jeremy and Sandy are the last to arrive at the detour and Laurence and Zac have just left.
Bill and Cathi outrace Andy and Tommy on foot to the pit stop and are second while Andy and Tommy are third. Laurence and Zac are lost and Amani and Marcus are at the pit stop in fourth place. Jeremy and Sandy finish the detour and leave to head to the ship, the arrive and think they are last but are surprised to find out they are fifth. Laurence and Zac come to the pit stop after getting directions and find out they are last. Laurence and Zac are eliminated from Amazing Race 19.
We are down to 5 teams now and it will be harder for any team to make a mistake and comeback. Amani and Marcus were very lucky today as they started almost a whole day behind the others, but due to time limits on when parts of the race opened up, they managed to get back in and finish in the middle of the pack. Will they be lucky again next week?
