The X Factor USA had a Rock n Roll blowout last night and 10 contestants are waiting to see if they will continue on to next week. One more contestant will be eliminated tonight. Paula Abdul is in the hot seat because she has only one group left out of her original three. Last week we saw her literally break down when she had to eliminate either the Stereo Hogzz or Lakoda Rain. Simon commented last night that she is out of the X Factor is Lakoda Rain goes down tonight. Rihanna will be a special guest tonight and hopefully she will bring her usual “Flashy” self and give us a great performance. 8:00pm: The show opens with all 10 contestants singing Queen’s “We Will Rock You” and everybody gets a chance to lead. It would have been better if they went in to “Fat Bottom Girls” like Queen used to do.
8:05pm: It is announced you can go to thexfactorusa.com and vote for what song will be in the opening of next week’s show. We are getting recaps of last night.
8:13pm: The first two acts to go on are Leroy Bell and Lakoda Rain. Paula is safe for another week and she is very happy.
8:20pm: All the contestants go to celebrity photographer Brian smith for a photo shoot. At the end they all get a new Sony NEX5 digital camera.
8:27pm: Rihanna comes on stage with her new song. It’s another fast and dance friendly song. She is dressed in a rather conservative outfit tonight. It is a bra top covered with a jacket and jeans torn in the right place to reveal black garters and stockings. This song will be a hit at all the dance clubs. Rihanna tells the contestants that they need to love what they do to succeed and if you love it it is never like work.
8:34pm: The next 4 acts to continue are Chris Rene, Melanie Amaro, Josh Krajcik, Marcus Canty. Looks like we might have a shocker of an elimination tonight.
8:41pm: Drew is going on to next week. Rachel Crow is going through. Astro and Stacy Francis will have to sing for their lives.
8:48pm: Stacy Francis is up first and she sings “Amazing Grace” and is doing it really slow with a lot of vocal changes. She is hitting all the notes perfectly but will this song choice hurt her or help her.
8:51pm: Astro comes on stage and he asks LA if he should perform of or give up. He is doing “I never can say goodbye”. He is nailing this and singing his heart out here. He is giving his take on all the judges in his rap.This is much better than Stacy.
8:57pm: It is time for the judges to vote. LA votes for Stacy Francis to go home. Nicole votes for Astro to go home. Paula votes to send home Stacy. Simon votes to send home Stacy.
Stacy Francis is eliminated from the X Factor USA.
Check back next week as Chris Rene, Drew, Astro, Lakoda Rain, Rachel Crow, LeRoy Bell, Josh Krajcik, Melanie Amaro, and Marcus Canty will perform again. The show next week will be on Tuesday and Wednesday because of Thanksgiving.
