The Season Finale of The Sing Off is tonight and we will see which of the top three wins the $200,000 dollar prize in a 2 hour action packed episode. The final three are Dartmouth Aires, Pentatonix, and Urban Method. Viewers have been voting since last week and the winner will be announced live. This is not the final episode though, because we will get a Holiday Special next week filled with music from all the contestants this season. The judges will get in on the act tonight and each will be performing with one of the groups. We will be bringing you live updates of tonight’s show as they happen so keep checking back here often. The Sing Off starts at 8pm eastern and 7pm central time on NBC.
The show opens with a recap of what has happened so far and a brief recap of each of the three finalists. All three groups are doing “Make Me Feel” by Michael Jackson and it is amazing.
The top ten groups are back to join in on the action.
We get to see the top three helping out others and Pentatonix is at The Trevor Project which helps deal with teen suicides. They make a PSA and attend a few group therapy sessions. Now they perform “Without You”.
The judges talk of how they mix things up so much is what makes them amazing. Shawn says the cool thing is they have 3 soloists

Urban Method is helping out at the Sickle Cell foundation that helps kids deal with the disease. They sing for the workers and kids there. They perform “Stereo Hearts”.
Shawn says they have created “head nodding” acapella. Ben says they have a massive sound.

Now the Dartmouth Aires go to “Saving Strokes” that helps people who have suffered a stroke get back to a normal life. They go golfing with a lot of the patients. They perform “Paradise By The Dashboard Light”. Amy from Delilah helps the group out with the female lead.
Ben says they have an edge and an unmistakeable edge. Shawn says the never hold back. Sarah says they have so much fun when on stage.

Now Nick Lachey is going to perform with Pentatonix and they will do a 98 Degree’s “Give Me Just One Night”. We now see why he is the host of a show instead of making records. Pentatonix are better than he is. He is no dancer either.

Urban Method goes on with Sarah Bareilles and sings her new single “Gonna Get over You”. This is good and Urban Method is really complimenting her. Glad to see them performing something that is newer than my lawn furniture. Yes, still ragging on Nick!

Ben Folds take the stage with Dartmouth Aires and does “Not The Same”. This is an audience participation number and he is getting the whole crowd involved. This is pretty good.

Next will be all the females singing after the break. This is a perfect reason why most finales are condensed to just one hour. There is still a lot of time to fill before they announce the winner.

The females of the top ten groups perform “Natural Woman”. This is good and some of these girls have amazing voices.

The males from the top ten now do “Born to Run”. It is supposed to be the Bruce Springsteen version but it sounds more like the version done by Franky Goes To Hollywood. This is not a bad thing because Franky did it WAY better than the Boss.

Smoky Robinson is up next and he is doing “You Really Got A Hold On Me” with Afro Blue. he still has a smooth voice and sounds just as he always has. Gonna be really funny when all of today’s lip syncers like Britney Spears get older and are trying to perform….lol!

The Three top acts are on stage and we are about to hear an announcement. More time filler from the judges.

The voters pick the top two and they are Pentatonix and Dartmouth Aires.

Urban Method is eliminated!

Pentatonix and Dartmouth Aires will now wait to see who wins after Urban Method sings one more time.

More time filler as we get details of Pentatonix and Dartmouth Aires and how they came to be on the show.

The winner is Pentatonix and they now have $200,000 dollars and a Sony Recording contract!
