The X Factor USA judges will be giving their take on the top 5 finalists tonight where each contestant has to sing two songs with one being picked for them by the viewers. Fans were given three choices for each artist last week and the votes will tell one of the songs Josh, Marcus, Melanie, and Chris will perform. Look for Chris Rene to be in the cross hairs this week because Simon didn’t like his Michael Jackson Tribute. LA, Paula, and Nicole have be crucified in the fan forums for eliminating Drew last week. We will be live blogging the X Factor USA so keep checking here for all the latest news as it happens. Remember that voting will open up again as soon as the show ends and it is more important than ever this week. A link is at the bottom of this page that takes you to the X Factor site to cast your vote.

Simon Declares War! As the show opens he declares war on the other judges. This should be interesting tonight! The first set of songs are all dance numbers.

Melanie Amaro is up first and she is blasting tonight. LA doesn’t criticize. Nicole says she is a diva. Paula takes a stab and says it was really short and Simon immediately pounces and says this is not Karaoke and that Melanie is on track to be a star.
Marcus Canty is next with “Ain’t Nobody” and this is really good. Both Paula and Nicole love it. Simon tries his best but he can’t complain here and says it was good.
Rachel Crow does “Nothing On You” and it is OK but this was not a good song choice. LA, Paula, and Nicole all love it. Nicole makes reference to a Rachel Doll and Simon says he wants a Nicole Voo Doo doll.
Josh Krajcik tries to sing “We Found Love” by Rihanna and this has to be the worst he has ever done. He just isn’t the dance song type. LA and Simon both say he can’t do this type of music but Paula loved it.
Chris Rene does “Live My Life” and it is OK. All the judges like it and it was a good blend of original stuff with the song.

Now it is time for the second songs:

Melanie Amaro does “When You Believe” and she plays it safe here. It was good and all the judges like it with LA pointing out she played it safe.
Marcus Canty sings next and Simon brings on the bullets and says he has heard this song done this way too many times on these type shows. Of course, everyone else come to Marcus’s defense.
Rachel Crow does Ok and the judges all like it. Simon likes it when there is no criticism of his singers and all is well on the judges panel.
Next up is Josh Krajcik and he is doing “Something In The Way She Moves”. It is good but he is really off tonight. His voice is still powerful but something is missing to me. LA says it was a little Karaoke but still good and way better than his first song. Simon says it was a massive improvement over the first song. Simon says he should not allow any crazy choreography and stick to his roots.
Chris Rene is the final performer tonight. He is doing an original song. This is not rap and is just a simple acoustic number. I have a new favorite after hearing this. Nicole says the sky is the limit for him. Paula says this was a great song and shows his originality. Simon says it was a stroke of genius.
