The Bachelor 1/9/12 Live Blog: Ben Bares His Skin As A Sheep
Blakely "Flakely" Wins the Rose
Ben reveals that tonight’s date card goes to…Kacie B.! Of course, she feels like the “luckiest woman alive.” No surprise there, right? Catty as the women of The Bachelor are, Courtney is really bummed out about not getting the date card, and hopes she doesn’t return home from their date.
Ben goes on his date with Kacie B. to the center of his hometown. As usual, he shows her the sites and recounts all of his childhood memories of all the places they visit during the date. During dinner, Ben breaks down as he talks about his father’s death, and how his father shaped the man that Ben is now. Ben finally gives her the rose along with a kiss, and he’s laid out one more final surprise for their date. Both Ben’s and Kacie B.’s home movies are showed just especially for them. The two are brought to tears as their date ends, and it looks as they shared such a special moment together that their bond becomes stronger. Awww. Sweetness.
The other girls finally get on their first group date with their bachelor. The girls meet Ben at a local park where they are to audition in front of a group of children for a local community theater play. The girls are made to act embarrassing roles and actions – jogging in slow motion, acting like a certain animal, etc. Some girls are funny and gung-ho about having fun and making fun of themselves. Others, of course, are such a bore and are so fake. The best parts are when the kids call them on it, and practically diss the boring girls in their face. Ahh, the honesty of children. Gotta love it. And what they didn’t love was Blakely’s boobs who was made to jog in slow motion. Yuck. Right? But it makes great TV!
During the actual theater performance, they all actually put on a pretty good show for the kids and the community. Some girls get to have a chance kiss with Ben because of their roles, and some girls don’t. The girls that don’t, well, get jealous. As part of the last finale, Ben loses his skin as a sheep when the dragon he fights blows off all his sheep skin. Ben bares it all, and the ladies jaws drop and go ga-ga over his body.
It’s time for another poolside party where Ben and the ladies get half-naked and make out in the pool. The ladies start clawing on each other here, especially on Courtney and Blakely “Flakely”. Samantha is so upset with all the sluttiness that she escapes off to the bathroom in tears. If only Ben knew how these girls really were when he’s not around. Proof of this is when Ben hands a rose to Blakely. Almost all the girls hate it, and actually leave the pool area in disgust when Blakely returns.
Ben and Courtney go on their one-on-date. Ben shows Courtney his “son”. It’s a dog. Thankfully (like me) Courtney is a great dog person, and she impresses Ben (and me) a lot. Even more, Courtney is beautiful as Ben says. Well, she is a model. Around a fire, Ben and Courtney have an intimate conversation revealing things about themselves. There are some moments that sound soooo fake though. Courtney: “It was tough.” Ben: “Yeah….that’s tough.” Courteny: “Really….really tough.” Zzzzzzzzzzzz. Finally, Ben gives her the rose, and they make out. Ben reveals: “Courtney, does make me think big picture.” And back to the shots of them making out again.
Back from the break, and before two of the 18 girls get kicked off the show, some of the ladies get some quick one-on-one time with Ben. Lindzi is up first. She says she’s a real girl, and usually wears dirt for makeup. Ben likes she’s a country girl. Samantha is up next, but Blakely “Jugs” interrupts their time together. That pisses the other girls off. And Blakely has so many nicknames! Here’s another one the girls come up with: “Blakely – Stage 5 Clinger.”
Finally, Ben picks up on the drama between the girls and he attempts to get to the bottom of it all. He finds out Blakely is the source and goes off to find her. He finds her slumped on the floor curled up into a ball in the corner of the luggage room. Looks like Blakely is losing some points with Ben. He’s quite shocked though with all the drama. He’s been thinking everything has been going well so far. Now, it’s time for the rose ceremony…and the two who get kicked out are…. Poor girls, I’m glad I’m not one of the last few looking around with worried faces wondering why they’re not being chosen. They look so sad and lost….
Last girl to receive a rose is…Britney. Of the two girls that get kicked, Jenna is the most emotional: “I think I’m sick. I really wanted to be the one for him….Are you kidding me?!? I’m mortified!”
Join us next week on Nerdles for another episode of The Bachelor when they all go off to San Francisco, and someone from Ben’s past appears and make the girls all crazy! Crazier!
