Glee 2/14/12 Live Recap: L-O-V-E Is In The Air!

Love is in the air in McKinley High as members of the glee club are all invited to Sugar’s valentine party but guess what…no singles allowed. Also, Rachel’s two dads come over to celebrate her engagement with Finn and watch as the best man wins Sugar’s heart – Rory or Artie? Find out as we give you all the freshest updates with love only here on Nerdles!

Rachel and Finn officially announce their engagement to the group with many members arguing against their decision and a few supporting them (they’re supposed to be what? 18 years old?). Santana and Brittany get into some girl to girl PDA on campus premises and Finn serenades Rachel with the help of the God Squad. Meanwhile, Artie seems to be winning Sugar’s heart over Rory after singing a love song that gets him the sweetest moment with the girl of his dreams.

Rory reveals the bad news – he’s only gonna be staying until the end of the school year. awwww – which is followed by his rendition of Michael Buble’s “I wanna go home.” Sadly, this feat convinces Sugar to take Rory as her valentine date for the party…poor Artie, right? The God Squad on the other hand discusses the “abomination” which is Santana and Brittany’s relationship. Sam and Mercedes seems to break apart further each day until Mercedes finally tells Sam that she “can’t be with him.” awwww. too many heartbreaks for an episode, right? which brings us to a Whitney Houston tribute song performed by Mercedes herself.

The engagement dinner starts with a performance with Rachel and her two dads. They eat dinner and toast for the newly engaged couple but soon arrive at awkward conversations until…their parents decide they should sleep with each other (cool parents, right? haha). Everything seems to be going sweet until Finn breaks out on Rachel after implying that Finn won’t be doing anything in New York once they get married. Naturally, Finn gets mad and storms out of the room. Also, I forgot to mention that Kurt has been receiving a lot of valentine gifts from a secret admirer and as it turns out, it’s his former Bully in McKinley. Kurt turns him down causing yet another heartbreak which makes me wonder if this is really a valentine’s day episode or not.

Rachel and Finn works out their differences by 7:15 just in time for Sugar’s valentine party! The two Berry dads discuss about lying to Rachel and Finn on their supporting the engagement hoping that a night together would give them a glimpse of what it’s like to be married. As opposed to what they expect to happen, the couple gets closer and announces a spring wedding after the nationals.
