America’s Got Talent Results Show: Which Four Acts Make It To The AGT Semi-finals? (7/3/12 Live Recap)

America’s Got Talent Results Show is live and alive right now. Tonight, we find out which FOUR of last night’s 12 performances will be going forward to the AGT Semi-finals. Who did you vote for? Did the rest of America agree with you? Find out now as Nerdles give you live updates!

Last night, Howward made his own predictions. He said Edon, The Scott Brothers, Maurice and Shanice Hayes, and David Garibaldi and the CMYK’s would be going to the semi-finals. Is he right? Let’s find out, but first an awesome and truly talented performance by Cirque Du Soleil’s Zarkana.

The first set of three acts to be judges by America are Shanice and Maurice Hayes, Nikki Jensen, and Micheal Nejad. If you watched last night’s performances, then you’d know that of these three only two of them will really make it through. Micheal Nejad got booed off stage and was the only act to get axed by all three judges. My vote goes to the father-daughter duet, but Nikki Jensen has that attractive charm that might lure America to vote on her side. So which of the two win? It looks like Howard was right as Shanice and Maurice Hayes is the first act to go to the AGT semi-finals!

Called up on stage are the Scott Brothers, 787 Crew, and Lil’ Star. Of these three, only one will make it through to the AGT Semi-finals. Screams of “Scott Brothers” can be heard from the crowd. Are they right? YES! The Scott Brothers make it throught to the next round!

The American BMX Stunt Team, Jarret and Raja, and David Garibaldi and the CMYK’s are the next the be judged by America. My bets on David Garibaldi and his crew. Am I right? We can’t tell from the screams of the crowd. It seems a lot more mixed, but at the end, David Garibaldi and the CMYK’s win it! They’re on to the next round! I like what David says: “We just want America to know that art can be entertaining and inspiring.”

Will.I.Am performs on stage before we get to the final results. From his new album, he performs “This Is Love” with Eva Simons. After this song and the break, we get the final results.

The last to be called up on the AGT stage are Edon, Todd Oliver, and The Distinguished Men of Brass. My personal favorite here is Todd Oliver because I love dogs and I think Todd CAN come up with better material (which he was criticized for last night). However, I think Edon, the young all-American talent, will be winning tonight. Let’s find out. The Distinguished Men of Brass is the act with the least votes from America. They will be going home tonight. That leaves Edon and Todd Oliver – for the first time on America’s Got Talent – to make their last pleas to the judges who will decide which of them will go through to the semi-finals.

Of these two, one came in 4th and the other came in 5th. It won’t be revealed but it will up to the judges to decide. Howie chooses Edon. Howard wants to say Todd Oliver, but since he already called it last night, he chooses Edon. With a majority of the votes from the judges, Edon goes through the semi-finals!

Next week, 12 new acts will take the AGT stage and we get another chance to vote for our Favorite Four to make it through to the AGT semi-finals. Make sure to visit here on Nerdles, but until then Happy Independence Day!

  1. Trex says:

Nothing rigged here. Three Jews simply voted for a fourth.

  2. Gianni says:

I smell a rat! Why was everyone else put through via audience voting except for Edon, who was put through with the judges votes. It looked akward. Almost as if the audience did not vote him through so the rules were changed. All the weirdos are gonna be calling this one a conspiracie. The fact that he is Jewish doesn’t help at all.

    • That totally makes me wonder too, Gianna. Why did they feel that Edon HAD to pass through to the next around REGARDLESS of America’s vote. *sniff* *sniff* Conspiracy is in the air. *sniff* *sniff*

  3. RIGGED says:

So Edon and Todd Oliver placed 4th and 5th… BUT the results were announced AND THEN the judges decided who goes thru???? WHY THE FUCK DID AMERICA VOTE THEN? WHO PLACED 4TH BECAUSE THATS WHO SHOULD GO THRU!!!!!…. AGT SHOULD GET SUED, AMERICA WAS TOLD THEIR VOTES WOULD PLACE THE TOP 4 THRU AND THEN AMERICAS VOTES DONT MATTER… LAW SUIT?

    • I agree. I don’t get why they even bothered to do that. If Edon placed 4th, then he should’ve gone through. If Todd placed 4th, he should’ve gone through. At the very least, it was a lame attempt at keeping the tension up throughout the show to it’s very end. At the most, as you say, it was rigged. Whoever got 4th, the producers of AGT didn’t like it and did what they did.
