“3″ Premiere: Three Women Try To Find The Love(s) of Their Lives (7/26/12 live recap) |
“3″ CBS’ latest reality TV series on women finding love premieres tonight. The show features April, Rachel, and Libby – three very successful women who are still missing one thing in their lives, LOVE. We find out some of the women’s personal stories. The most touching story of them all is Rachel’s. She’s a 35-year-old mother of two who recently lost her husband to brain cancer last March 27th. Though it seems she’s moving on quite fast, she feels it’s the right time for her, and for her kids their dad will always be their dad.
The auditions begin. The first guy up is Marcus and he opens with “Hey, who are you guys?” He’s quite the funny guy, and an anesthesiologist to boot. Libby asks him what’s happened to his past relationships, what hasn’t worked out. Marcus explains his residency the past four years have been tough. Of the three, Libby seems to have the most connection with Marcus as both their dads are ranchers.
Next up is Tim who opens up asking the ladies about their favorite food. Why? Because he says the view you have about your fave food is the view you have about sex. And after the women’s responses, he does get them cracking up. None of the three ladies seems to be interested in Tim, however.
Tyler is up third. He’s a model. And it looks like the ladies cannot keep their eyes off of him. You can tell there was something in the air the moment Tyler walked through the door. Tyler comments that the #1 thing for him about a relationship is a relationship with Jesus Christ. Immediately, Libby takes him outside to talk to him and it looks like Tyler is in.
A bunch of guys roll through and the footage goes on and on as the women pass through a herd of fellas.
Next, a familiar face walks through the door. Dan, a lawyer, has met April before who was dressed by her when he was featured in a law magazine in Chicago. Speaking of Chicago, he seems to connect with Rachel who is also from Chicago. Plus, he loves kids! Rachel likes the guy, but April is having second thoughts because she doesn’t like him at all. She also feels offended that Libby pressured her into going out with him.

Jeff is next from Florida who is into sales, but also a mascot. Weird thing is, he can’t say what he is a mascot for. It is, however, for football. He just won’t say which team exactly. He’s in his 30′s and like a perfect match for Rachel because he loves working with kids as a mascot. The ladies definitely take him in.
Another bunch of guys roll through and the footage goes on and on. Some of the women politely reject some of the men, and even one of the men reject one of the women (April). April breaks down and starts crying. It can be pretty stressful to say no to really nice, genuine guys who do derserve a chance. It’s just April is really picky.
After the first day of auditions, the three ladies have already met more than half of the 100 men who are also looking for love. It’s now on the second day of auditions.
Joe is the first man of the day. He’s from Michigan, same as April! Undergrad at Michigan and a Harvard Business graduate. Rachel asks if he would like to go on on a date with her. He says thank you, but mans up and says he’d honestly really like to date April. April is completely smitten and even walks him to the door!
There’s a twist! A woman walks through the door! “A change of pace for the ladies,” she says. Her name is Ebony, but she’s actually there for her friend. He’s there for love, and he’s a church-goer. This catches Libby’s attention and she takes him aside to get to know him more. They look like a good couple together.
Child psychiatrist, Justin, walks through the door next. He shows the ladies a picture drawn by one of his child patients. He seems like a really good fit for Rachel who teared up at the photo he shared with her. Unfortunately, she doesn’t seem to feel a spark with him. Rachel has been picking mostly fun guys and Justin, as much as he connected with her, didn’t seem fun enough for her.
Another guy walks through the door that knows April. Nathan suggested he try out and try to connect with Rachel and Libby. But after talking to him outside, it turns out that both of them want to get to know each other.
