Kiefer Sutherland tells Ellen about Season 2 of Touch, which airs on February 8 on Fox. He wants to do 24 the movie, but says that his Touch schedule makes it difficult. Sophia Grace and Rosie perform “You Found Me.” Julian and Dailius of Australia tell Ellen that they were up all night for the operatic contest which they won. Ellen presents them with a Swisse Wellness $25,000 check for their dad’s brain tumor.
Ellen says that February is online dating season. So people’s New Year’s resolutions are either to go to a gym or meet one. Since Tony has a girlfriend, Ellen tells him to close his accounts in Match.com, Plenty of Fish and Single Mingle.
Amy talks with strangers using Taylor Swift’s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” Kinda fell flat. An elderly guy asked her if he knew her. Someone else was on the way to the bathroom. A teenage girl said that she had to go with her mom, that she was willing to help Amy.
Kiefer says that he wants to do 24 the movie, but his Touch sked makes it difficult. Touch is number 1 or 2 around the world. It is about a kid who’s misdiagnosed as autistic who’s good at math.
Livelier than Kiefer are Sophia Grace and Rosie, who present Ellen with a Play-Doh gift that they made with their mom. Ellen presents them with their book, Tea Time with Sophia Grace and Rosie. Sophia Grace sings “You Found Me,” not her best performance. Their cuteness, like the Tony girlfriend jokes, have worn off. Ellen presents them with a Play-Doh cake.
Julian and Dailius were surprisingly delightful. They won a trip to Ellen two weeks ago with their operatic song. They told Ellen what Australian expressions like “You ‘miring” means: “You admiring,” like when you like a shirt: “You ‘miring?” Julian, 19-20, made their “I (heart) Ellen” shirts. He saw the tweet, called up Dailius, 21. They spent the night at the venue. Ellen presents them with “Ellen (heart)’s Dailius” and “Julian” shirts. Their dad has a brain tumor and the bills are piling up. The best part of the show was Ellen telling Julian and Dailius that Swisse Wellness is giving them $25,000. Seeing Dailius cry was a tearstreamer.
