Inception – Still Bringing in Top Box Office

Since its opening earlier in July, Inception has gotten comfortable in the number one slot at the box office. However, a new star may be on the horizon. “Dinner for Schmucks” is debuting this weekend and could take over the coveted top spot. Steve Carell and Paul Rudd both have a history of solid opening numbers. Carell’s wide release average is approximately $27 million, while Rudd has seen $20 million opening numbers. This could indicate a strong debut for “Schmucks.” Opening numbers somewhere in the $30 million range may just conquer at the box office. “Charlie St. Cloud” with Zac Efron is also debuting this weekend.
