Judge Judy Recap 4/15/14: $5,000 for Store Lockout

Judge Judy Sheindlin awards $5,000 to Frances Nesbitt and boyfriend Scott Smith (spelling?) for their counterclaim, for being illegally locked out of their store. The judge dismissed Suzette Cook (photo)’s $5,000 suit against Frances and Scott for vandalism and loss of revenue. The lease was in Suzette’s name, and the Defendants would pay Suzette half of the rent. Suzette’s lease says that she cannot sublet, which she said the Defendants knew.
