GTA V To Be Revealed Before E3?
Posted by: | Comments
According to some analyst dude named Mike Hickey, Rockstar games will announce the next instalment of Grand Theft Auto before this year’s E3…
“Assuming GTA V is in their fiscal ‘11 period as we have currently modelled, [Take-Two Interactive] should be highly profitable, and likely in excess of current street consensus. With the RAGE engine built, the next GTA release should drop faster and require less development expense. Importantly, the Rockstar team is newly incentivised through profitability versus a unit sales approach.”
He then added that while he expects the announcement of GTA V before E3, he doesn’t think that the game will have any sort of presence at the event.
Could Eidos Be Planning A 3D Version Of Batman: Arkham Asylum?
Posted by: | Comments
According to CVG (Computer and Video Games) Eidos are planning on including some new 3D gameplay sections in its upcoming Game of the Year edition.
The rumour stems from an advert for the game in India which stated that the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions would support something called Trioviz 3D Technology as well as being packaged with two sets of 3D glasses.
Eidos are yet to confirm or deny the rumors but we should have some news on the GOTY edition pretty soon.
Sony Are Promising To Reveal A Surprise Sequel Tomorrow!
Posted by: | Comments
Sony will announce a surprise sequel for one of their exclusive PS3 titles on Friday morning.
There’s quite a bit of speculation as to what Playstation 3 title will be getting the sequel treatment. Of course people are going to say Uncharted 3 and Resistance 3 or KillZone 3 but could those sequels be honestly seen as surprises?
Not in my opinion they can’t. Everyone knows they are going to be announced at some point
My guess: Little Big Planet 2.
Via her Twitter account, actress Milla Jovovich has revealed that the trailer for the fourth Resident Evil movie; Resident Evil: Afterlife will be bundled with the remake of A Nightmare On Elm Street which hits cinemas at the end of April.
Resident Evil: Afterlife will be the franchise’s first foray into 3-D. The movie is scheduled for a September 10th release.
Sony CEO Says PS4 Isn’t Coming Anytime Soon
Posted by: | Comments
For those of you out there who are wondering when the Playstation 4 will be released, SCEA CEO Jack Tretton has a few words for you…
“A question I often get is when we are going to see PS4. When somebody can craft the technology that exceeds what we’re able to do on the PS3, but we are still just starting to harness it.”
Tretton also talked about how the traditional five-year lifespan of consoles is a thing of the past…
“In the old days it was ‘this thing is dead as a door nail in five years’, Tretton told Fast Company. Year one is very important, year three you’re already starting to get to the other side of the hill and then there’s a slippery slope. We’ve just passed the third year of the PS3 and we’re just hitting our stride. And I don’t think anyone is saying ‘this is a five-year cycle, what’s new on the horizon?’. I can’t even imagine what can be done technically beyond the PS3 in the near future.”
Chris Nolan’s Brother To Direct Superman: Man Of Steel
Posted by: | Comments
Quite a few websites are running with the rumor that the brother of Dark Knight director Chris Nolan; Jonah Nolan may be directing the new Superman reboot; Man of Steel.
The rumor stems from the fact that David S Goyer and Jonah Nolan have signed for scripting duties while Chris Nolan is being brought in to mentor the project.
It is now thought that Chris Nolan will actually be mentoring his baby brother’s directorial debut.
Also another interesting rumor that is floating around the web suggests that Chris Nolan will direct the Justice League movie but I must stress, that’s just a rumor.
Expect Warner Bros to come out with an official statement soon.
Paranormal Activity 2 To Be Directed By Brian De Palma?
Posted by: | Comments“Say Hello To My Little Ghost!”
Legendary Scarface director Brian De Palma is being linked to direct Paranormal Activity 2.
As rumors go, this one is a pretty juicy one. I was a tad pessimistic when they announced that they would be making a sequel to last year’s smash hit Paranormal Activity. My mind took me back to that dreadful Blair Witch sequel a while back and when they announced that they were priming Saw IV director Kevin Greutert to direct my interest in Paranormal Activity 2 fell away completely.
But now, Greutert has been pulled from the project due to a clause in his contract which ties him to the Saw franchise and now suddenly De Palma has found himself in the frame.
A Brian De Palma Paranormal Activity 2 is infinitely more exciting to me; this is one rumor I hope turns out to be true…
Zoolander 2 On The Way?

Apparently Ben Stiller and Tropic Thunder writer Justin Theroux are busying away on a script for Zoolander 2.
According to Deadline Hollywood, Theroux will direct while Stiller will reprise his role as Derek Zoolander. Paramount are thought to want Owen Wilson to return while Jonah Hill is in talks to play the villain.
Check out some Zoolander quotes…
Die Hard 5 Looks Like It’s Coming Folks…

Bruce Willis seems to think that Die Hard 5 will go into production next year…
“I think we’re going to do a Die Hard 5 next year,”
See, I told you…
He also went on to throw in some suggestions for locations and stuff…
“I would hire Len Wiseman right now. We’ll it’s got to go worldwide. That would be my contribution to the next movie.”
Bruce was talking to MTV.
So, what do you guys think, do you want to see Die Hard 5?
Personally I’m okay with it; I enjoyed 4.0 (though it wasn’t exactly the highlight of the series) but perhaps that’s because I’m just a junkie for John McClane…
Wesley Snipes Wants To Make Another Blade Movie
Posted by: | Comments
Arrow in the Head recently caught up with Wesley Snipes and asked him about the possibility of making a fourth Blade movie.
Snipes replied that he would consider reprising the role “if the price (sorry, I meant script) was right”
Of course Snipes would make another Blade movie. I mean, what else has he got on?
Unbreakable 2 On The Way?
Posted by: | Comments
In my opinion M Night Shyamalan’s Unbreakable was one of the best superhero origins movies’ ever made and ever since its release I have been aching for a sequel.
Well, it seems that we’re a step closer to seeing the further adventures of Bruce Willis’ reluctant superhero David Dunn.
Talking to MTV, Bruce Willis claims that Shyamalan is still thinking about making a sequel…
“I talked to [Shyamalan] over the holidays, and he is still thinking about doing the fight movie between me and Sam that we were gonna do. We chose to do the origin. He says he’s up for it as long as Samuel L. Jackson is.”
Man, I’d love to see Unbreakable 2. It makes sense that Shyamalan would want to revisit that world, I mean, it’s not as if his career is hot right now and a sequel to Unbreakable would almost certainly do well at the box office.
Some Plot Details Revealed For That Third Riddick Movie
Posted by: | Comments
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the plot for the third Riddick movie will see Riddick finding himself left for dead on a barren alien planet with some “trisons” (three legged bison’s) and “mud demons”.
Also the script writers have thrown in two squads of bounty hunters and some “jet cycles” to keep poor old Riddick some company.
Actually, this kind of sounds okay. Riddick is one of my favourite baddasses and I’ll jump at any chance to see him kick some alien ass but, “trisons”?
Seriously?
Could Tarantin Be Headed For The Wild West?
Posted by: | Comments
Quentin Tarantino has been talking about his plans to make a Western movie set during the slavery era.
Chatting with the New York Daily Times, Tarantino said…
“I’d like to do a Western, but rather than set it in Texas, have it in slavery times. With that subject that everybody is afraid to deal with. Let’s shine that light on ourselves. You could do a ponderous history lesson of slaves escaping on the Underground Railway. Or you could make a movie that would be exciting. Do it as an adventure. A spaghetti Western that takes place during that time. And I would call it A Southern.”
Like everything Tarantino pitches, this sounds like it could be interesting but whether or not it will be his next movie remains to be seen. Kill Bill 3 is still being talked about plus he did mention recently that he would like to do a prequel to Inglorious Basterds so we’ll just have to wait and see.
Captain Kirk To Be Captain America?
Posted by: | Comments
Star Trek star Chris Pine has been linked to the lead role of Marvel’s iconic superhero movie The First Avenger: Captain America.
According to CinemaSpy…
“Paramount and Marvel are pretty close to closing a deal on casting Steve Rogers/Captain America and fans might be excited to learn that the short list includes somebody a lot of fans speculated about, Chris Pine. From what I’m hearing, he’s the frontrunner right now, though that could change.”
Of course, this is pure rumor territory and it’s likely that tomorrow someone like Sam Worthington could be linked so at this moment in time, it’s probably best to take it with a pinch of salt…
Reboot Alert! Mr & Mrs Smith
Posted by: | Comments
Fox are rebooting the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie married-spies movie Mr & Mrs Smith.
Yep, even though I’m pretty sure that there is no one out there is really calling for a sequel much less a reboot, Fox are planning on going ahead and giving us one anyway.
At this moment in time, nothing other than the fact that Fox are thinking about making the movie is known. No stars, no director nothing.
Let’s just hope it stays that way is it?
Could Sonic Be Playable In Super Mario Galaxy 2?
Posted by: | Comments
According to NGamer magazine, Sonic the Hedgehog will be a playable character in the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy 2.
At the moment, the addition of Sonic has yet to be confirmed though the mag claims that the news comes “from a trusted source”
Um, can’t really see how Sonic can fit into the Super Mario Galaxy game mechanics, most likely it will just be a case of Mario in a Sonic skin.
I guess we’ll just have to wait and see won’t we?
Have Sony Found Their New Spider-Man?
Posted by: | Comments
Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief star Logan Lerman is reportedly in talks to play Spider-Man in Sony Columbia’s reboot of the Spider-Man franchise.
In a recent interview with Access Hollywood, Lerman said…
“There have been a few discussions; it’s definitely something I’m looking into. It’s just, you know, conversations are starting. It’s a long process with the studio and the producers and everything. But it’s definitely a project that I’m really interested in, of course. I’d love to focus on the human element a little bit more. It’d be such a fun experience.”
I wouldn’t mind Lerman being the new Peter Parker, better him than Zac Efron…
Sumo Digital Talk Shenmue Sequel
Posted by: | Comments
Sumo Digital, the developers responsible for the upcoming Sonic & Sega All-Star Racing have stated that they would love to work on a new Shenmue title.
Talking to Digital Spy, Sumo Digital’s Steve Lycett said…
“I’m sure if SEGA asked, we’d love to take it on. It’d scare me to death to take on something so epic, but well, I’d like to think we could do it justice. I think it would be interesting to attempt to live up to the first two games, and I’d love to see Ryo’s story finished.”
I wonder if Sega are thinking about Shenmue 3?
I mean, stranger things have happened, after all; we are getting Sonic the Hedgehog 4 and who among us saw that coming?
