Nintendo is finally admitting that sales of the 3DS were not as good as they expected and are dropping the price by 80 dollars to boost sales. Nintendo released sales figures and said that 3DS sales were a little over 4 million worldwide and around 800,000 for the US market. This lackluster sales information has the company pulling out all the stops to promote the unit. Sony is withdrawing their music from iTunes and will not let iPhone’s play any of their games. Sony will be in direct competition with iTunes. Sony’s Music Unlimited is a music streaming service. Sony is also releasing a mobile phone service to let users play first generation games on their phones. The head of Sony’s games unit in Australia said it was unlikely to be available on the iPhone or through iTunes. Two New Doctor Who Video Games Headed For The Wii And The DS

Two brand new Doctor Who video games have been announced for the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS. The two titles are being developed by Asylum Entertainment and will be published by Koch Media. The Wii will get Doctor Who: Return to Earth while Doctor Who: Evacuation Earth will be released on the Nintendo DS. Famitsu has revealed that Xseed are developing a sequel to their award-winning PSP RPG Half-Minute Hero. Just like in the first game, Half-Minute Hero 2 will offer up 30 second adventures but this time the emphasis is expected to focus more on the RPG elements. The first Half-Minute Hero debuted in Japan back in May 2009 and was ported to the west the following October.
